Ashley was born and raised in the Bay Area and began her dance training at an early age. At 10, she was featured in Michael Smuin’s Christmas Ballet and knew the stage was her home. Ashley holds a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy and is a proud member of Actor’s Equity Association. Her professional experience ranges from starring roles in theater and dancing in shows like 42nd Street, West Side Story, A Chorus Line, and CATS, to performances for national organizations like Dancers Responding to AIDS, Broadway Cares/ Equity Fights AIDS, the Richmond-Ermet AID Foundation, the Miss America Organization, and Dance Masters of America. Internationally, she has performed for London audiences at Sadler’s Wells Theatre, and is also an honored Stanley Kahn Award recipient for achievement in tap. Her style bridges old school technique with contemporary rhythms and she is thrilled to share her love of dance with the students at The Ballet School! For more info visit www.ashleycowl.com.
