Aimee spent 10 years of her childhood training in ballet under the watchful eyes of Lareen Fender at The Ballet School, and considered it her second home. She left for college in 1999, and graduated with a BS in Kinesiology from SDSU, and then moved on to complete her Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from Samuel Merritt University in 2007. It’s been a dream come true to return to The Ballet School as the “in-house” Physical Therapist. She is experienced in treating a wide range of orthopedic injuries, and has completed multiple continuing education classes, including an advanced kinesiotape certification, and more recently, became a certified Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) instructor. She is eager to incorporate her dance background more directly by offering physical therapy services to the students of The Ballet School. She is able to treat non-dancers as well!
Aimee has two young children who are now students at The Ballet School, and loves to see them enjoying and exploring dance in the same studio which holds such wonderful memories. In her limited free time, Aimee enjoys cooking for friends and family, hiking, and travel.
